I didn’t fail!
I got my accounting midterm back today and I didn’t fail! I did better than simply not fail but I’m still not going to smother my test in gold stars and put it on the fridge.
The stats test this morning was…how should I say, an unpleasant experience. I really like stats (I DO) but this test was demoralizing. I think most of my classmates had similar reactions. The only thing I can really compare it to is a basketball move. It’s as if I was trying to block someone from running in and doing a layup but they completely dodged my block and scored before I even knew what happened. By the time I reacted, it was all over.
So maybe that’s a sucky analogy but that’s what it felt like. We were all in shock but still happy that it was OVER. Tomorrow, I get to start fresh: no tests or projects due for at least two weeks. How did I get so lucky?
Great description of the stats midterm. I was more surprised by its difficulty than by any of the other midterms. As time was ticking down in the final minutes, I had unpleasant memories of the quantitative portion of the GMAT … working story problems under pressure..
Ah, but we’re all through with midterms now. Hooray!
Yes! I had similar GMAT flashbacks as well. I’m so glad we’re done. Today, something unprecedented occurred: my team cancelled a team meeting because we have no group work due this week. Truly strange….
How wonderful that you will actually have a little time to breathe. Congrats on surviving what sounds like a real mid-term ordeal. It’s supposed to get easier, right? Or do you just get used to it so it doesn’t SEEM so bad.
Hang in there, sweetie.
