Aaahhh, much better
Today went much more smoothly than yesterday. I was put on the spot again, but so were all of my classmates. Fair is fair I suppose.
I’m excited because I successfully finished my homework by balancing the books (a short exercise) and by filling out an income statement. My mother would be so proud.
In the workshop today, we were encouraged to work on our professional presence. Each student had to get up and talk about what they were passionate about. For some reason, I was first. This was alright though. At the end, one of my classmates remarked that she was so impressed by her classmates. She said she’d never worked with a group of such enthusiastic people in her life. Even though the first week of school has been somewhat intimidating, we’re all getting our bearings and loosening up a bit. And I agree that we have a very interesting, enthusiastic, and smart group of folks.
ooh, where you first cuz of your new last name? You know, coming from a fellow B name?
I don’t think that was the reason. I just happened to be sitting at the end of the row closest to the teacher. Danny is convinced that I’ve been the lucky one lately because of my new last name. Still, it’s better than being in the last seat in the back row, like I was with my old last name.
What did you talk about….your “passionate” interest? And…you’re right, I am proud that you could balance a balance sheet and prepare an income statement. You go, girl!!!
